Sunflower Dreams Project at the Parliament of Scotland

Mr. Miles Briggs, MSP, and Mr Colin Beattie, MSP, welcomed Mr. Andrii Madzianovskyi, the Ukrainian Consul General to Scotland, on 30th January 2025, to the public meeting area, the Burns Room, of the Holyrood Parliament, for the opening of the “Ukraines Children tell their stories in Art” exhibition, presented by “The Sunflower Dreams Project” . This is a display of about 100 pieces of artwork, including an 6m long tapestry, created directly by the Ukrainian children, and curated by Nataliia Pavliuk, Professor of Art at the Lviv Polytechnic University in Ukraine. On hand to hear Mr. Briggs, Mr Beattie, Yustyna Pavliuk and Mr. Madzianovskyi´s remarks were other MSPs, Ms Hannah Beaton, MBE, of the Association of Ukraine GB, members of Edinburgh City Council and guests from the Scottish community and foreign dignitaries, including the Polish, German, Romanian, and Canadian Consuls General. Nataliia Pavliuk, and her daughter Yustyna Pavliuk, were in attendance to introduce the exhibition to the guests. M
